This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, retain and protect your personal information, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 on the Protection of Personal Data and the guarantee of digital rights (LOPDGDD).

2. What personal data do we collect?

Depending on how you interact with our website, we may collect the following categories of data:

2.1. Through the contact form

2.2. Through the “Work With Us” form

  • Any personal data you voluntarily include in your CV or in the form message (education, professional experience, languages, photograph, etc.)

3. Purpose of processing

We process your personal data for the following purposes:

We do not make automated decisions nor create profiles that produce legal effects concerning you.


4. How long do we keep your data?

  • Contact enquiries: retained for as long as necessary to handle your request and, subsequently, for the limitation period applicable to any liabilities that may arise from the service provided (generally up to 6 years under the Spanish Commercial Code where a contractual relationship arises).
  • Applications / CVs received: retained for a maximum of 2 years from receipt, unless you have expressly authorised us to keep them for that period for future recruitment processes, by ticking the corresponding box on the form. After that period, your data will be securely deleted unless a new application is submitted.
  • Data arising from a contractual relationship as a client: retained for the period required by applicable commercial, tax and anti-money laundering regulations for law firms (generally, a minimum of 6 years from completion of the engagement, without prejudice to longer periods required by specific regulations).

5. Who will your data be shared with?

As a general rule, we do not share your personal data with third parties, except:

  • When there is a legal obligation to do so (for example, requests from the Tax Authorities, Social Security, or judicial authorities).
  • To service providers acting as data processors on our behalf, with whom we have the corresponding data processing agreement in place under Art. 28 GDPR, including:
    • Our website hosting provider for beneditsolicitors.com
    • Our email service provider
    • Google LLC, in connection with the Google Maps service (map display) and Google Fonts (typography), to the extent these are used on the website

International transfers

Some of the providers mentioned above (such as Google LLC) may be located outside the European Economic Area, mainly in the United States. In such cases, the transfer is covered by the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission and by the additional safeguards required under the GDPR, in accordance with the relevant provider’s privacy policy.


6. Your rights

As the data subject, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data.
  • Rectify inaccurate data.
  • Erase your data (“right to be forgotten”), where it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.
  • Request restriction of its processing in certain circumstances.
  • Object to the processing of your data.
  • Request portability of your data, where technically feasible.
  • Withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, AEPD) (www.aepd.es) if you consider that your rights have not been properly addressed.


7. Confidentiality and security

Benedit Solicitors SLP. has adopted the technical and organisational measures necessary to ensure the security, integrity and confidentiality of the personal data it processes, preventing its alteration, loss, unauthorised processing or access, in accordance with the state of the art, the nature of the data, and the risks to which it is exposed.

In addition, as a law firm, all our professionals are bound by professional secrecy in respect of any information they become aware of in the course of their work.


8. Minors

This website is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under this age. If you become aware that a minor has provided us with their data without parental or guardian consent, please contact us so that we can delete it.


9. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to amend this Privacy Policy to adapt it to legislative or case-law developments, or to guidance issued by the Spanish Data Protection Agency. We recommend that you review this page periodically. The date of the last update appears at the top of this document.
